qstarter displays inventions or business ideas made alongside research in Quantum Science and Technology – ranging from research results with application possibilites to sophisticated instruments produced in small batch series –  that could be of interest to colleagues or industry.

To honor their contribution, we invite the project leaders to a buffet lunch - the qstarter awards - where we award 1'000 CHF to the top 3 projects rated by our industry jury.

The projects are judged in the categories general impression, novelty, originality, business potential and impact on research.  Collaborations are a plus as well as a clearly structured plan on how to move the project forward.
