Rump Session

Following on from the spectacular success last year, the NCCR QSIT Arosa meeting will feature a Rump Session!

The session is intended to be informal in which participants give non-technical and humorous presentations on some aspect of our life within QSIT.

Possible topics for presentations include:

  • Preliminary research results that are not ready for presentation in a formal setting and probably never will be
  • Ideas or suggestions for new groundbreaking experiments or theories, or perhaps a new slant on an old topic
  • Character building experiences in your life as a quantum researcher

but please let your imagination run wild!

To ensure that the Rump Session will be a rip-roaring success, we need your contributions! Submissions of potential presentations (a title and a very brief description) should be sent to and by Monday 21st January. The Rump Committee (Richard, Patrick and a few other random renegades) will probably choose 4 or 5 talks, each 5 to 10 minutes long, according to arbitrary and capricious notions.

Best wishes,
Richard and Patrick
