High intensity laser stabilization

For the intensity stabilization of lasers, the Photonics Laboratory at ETH has developed an High Power Laser Intensity Stabilizer. The HiPoLIS is a compact electronic box with an high power optical detector based on InGaAs photodiodes.

The current specification of the High Power Laser Intensity Stabilzer:

  • Shot-noise limited detection at 100 kHz
  • Bandwidth 10 MHz
  • PI Output
  • Max. Power 250mW
  • Intensity stable to 1 part in 30 million
  • Noise floor of -150 dB/Hz
